登り窯の火前で還元焼成した、小振りの掛花入です。
朝鮮唐津は藁灰釉と飴釉の二種類の釉薬を掛けて、一番温度の上がるところで焼きます。
難易度が一番高い釉薬です。
朝鮮唐津の花入は焼く時に一番リスクの高い場所に置きます。
なんと、薪を投げる場所のすぐ隣。
投げた薪が変なところへ行くと、花入はすぐに倒れてしまいます。
藁灰釉と飴釉がいい感じに混じり合い、良い景色となりました。
口が狭まっているので花も入れやすいです。

This is a vase that can be used either standing upright or hanging.
Chosen-karatsu ware is glazed with two types of glaze—straw ash glaze and amber glaze—and fired at the highest temperature point within the kiln.
The flower vases from Chosun Karatsu are placed in the most high-risk spot inside the kiln during firing. Right next to where the wood is thrown in.
Placing it right near where you toss the firewood means it'll constantly be exposed to direct flames and ash, so you can expect excellent results. But if the wood lands in the wrong spot, the vase will topple over immediately.
It's truly high risk, high reward.
This vase is beautifully crafted, with the glaze melting at high temperatures and blending together to produce a lovely blue hue.
